GOd
We believe there is one perfect God revealed in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 5:48, Matthew 28:19)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus is God’s Son, both human and divine. He died on the cross and rose again, and all who believe He did this to take our punishment for sin has right standing with God. He is now in heaven and will come again to vanquish sin and reign as King. (Philippians 2:6–11, Luke 1:34–38, 1 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 2:9, Romans 5:9, Acts 2:23–24, Hebrews 8:1, Matthew 26:64)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is divine and is sent to guide and empower believers, and to convince the world that sin leads to destruction. (John 14:15–18, John 16:13; Acts 1:8, John 16:7–11)
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Old and New Testaments, perfect as originally given, were inspired by God and declares His design and plan for mankind. (2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:15–16)
HUMANITY AND SIN
We believe man was originally good, but chose sin ushering physical and spiritual death into the world. Everyone is born with a sin nature and can only be saved by accepting that Jesus took our punishment on the cross. Those who repent of sin will be with God forever, those who do not are separated from Him for eternity. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians15:20–23, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 21:1–4)
SALVATION
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for everyone. Those who repent and believe in Him have a restored relationship with God both here on earth and for eternity. (Titus 3:4–7)
SANCTIFICATION
It is the will of God that every believer should be separated from sin and be fully dedicated to the will of God. This is a lifelong process of drawing closer to God and becoming more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Acts 1:8, Romans 6:1–14)
HEALING
We believe in divine healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Bible and a privilege for the church today. (Matthew 8:16–17, James 5:13–16)
THE CHURCH
We believe the Church consists of all those who are redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the head of the Church and has told all of his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” The local church is a community of people joined together for the worship of God, discipleship, prayer, fellowship, evangelism, and celebrating the sacraments of baptism and communion. (Ephesians 1:22–23, Matthew 28:19–20, Acts 2:41–47)
RESURRECTION
We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of all of humanity. Those who are with Christ receive eternal life with God, those who are not face the judgement of God. (1 Corinthians 15:20–23, John 5:28–29)
JESUS’ RETURN
The Lord Jesus Christ will be coming again as He had promised. This is the blessed hope of his people and an incentive to holy living and faithful service. (Hebrews 10:37, Luke 21:27, Titus 2:11–14)
